Happy Valentines Day! XOXO

is it business?

A question that always comes on my mind, "is it fashion pieces or business pieces?" when I look at the fashion work presented by people from my city. Sadly, they call themselves "FASHION DESIGNERS." It's true that they can be designers without a degree from fashion school, but still they could educate themselves about the fashion industry and how it involves every aspect surrounding us, from artwork to politics and humanitarian crises. Unfortunately, the fashion industry is now called the CUPCAKE industry. It’s a new trend where every group of people holds a cupcake shop here in town. Selling from their home or shop. It is funny that fashion has this common thing with cupcakes.

I always wished that my city would be the next fashion city, but after the research I have done, I think it will be a very bad choice for the industry to confess. Why? It's so embarrassing that people here can start a project in a week or less and their items are sold with huge amount of money that really most people can't afford. Sorry to say, but its also BAD QUALITY!

I'm not trying here to criticizes their work and say they don't have taste or what they are doing is a piece of crap, but no, I respect what they do and I sometimes buy items from them. The problem here is I can't read the concept behind the pieces they create. I believe that designers are not inspired enough, although living in such country it is easy to be inspired. Starting with the people from different nationalities and cutlers here in town.

But still I can make a change!

I have the choice of being constantly active and happy or introspectively passive and sad.
Or I can go mad by ricocheting in between.
